Kareem's - The Best Kebab Corner in Mumbai

1, Rita Apartments,
16th Road,
Bandra West, Mumbai.

                                               Restaurant

If your the one looking for tasty and sumptious biryanis, curries and hot tikka rolls and kebabs then kareems is exactly the right spot for you.

Its not a Fine-Dine restaurant infact a small place that serves the best of Kebabs and Tikka Rolls. Hardly few tables to sit but still you will find a lot of crowd in there. As it is truely said, Mumbaikars hardly have time to sit and have their food.

ELCO Pani Puri Centre

  • Shop No. 2, Street No. 46, Block A,
  • Elco Market, Hill Road,
  • Bandra (W), Mumbai, 400050

                                   Restaurant

ELCO is situated in heart of bandra, Hill Road which is the busiest road in bandra. It is very well known for its authentic chaat like pani puri, bhel puri, aloo tikkis, dahi puri etc. It also serves other cuisines like North indian and indian chineese and some deserts like kulfi faludas, hand made icecreams and sweets like gulab jamun,Raj bhoj,Ras Malai etc

To tell you more about the restaurant it has two sections, one is the chaat section which is more like a roadside arrangement with comfortable seating on the footpath with proper shading and enclosed environment so that it is not affected much by the traffic on road. The other section is on the first floor which is typically like a normal restaurant where you can sit and order and have your food, but mostly people prefer the chaat section because the serivce here is very quick enough when the place is moderately crowded and when it heavily crowded service is pathetic.

Personally speaking this place is little overly priced and on the top food here is average according to me. The reason behind its high price is just because of the location (Bandra-Hill Road) and because of its popularity in Mumbai.

For eg:
Paav bhaji - Rs 120
Masala dosa-Rs 130
Chole Bhature with 1 bhatura and pathetic chole- Rs 180.
Additional Service tax for the rubbish service.

Just Around The Corner is a self service diner – the first of its kind in the country – catering to a broad clientele. Modelled on the American format, guests help themselves from a long food counter, at the end of which they pay the cashier and carry their trays to tables in the seating area. The restaurants present a value-for-money family dining experience. The friendly and casual atmosphere is created using bright, lively interiors and large windows. The diners are equipped with stainless steel food counters, custom made aquamarine terrazzo flooring, and natural cedar wood and stainless steel glass topped furniture. Posters from the 50's and 60's, and larger-than-life, black and white photographs of stars from days gone by complete the 'small town America' diner look.

The diner opens at 8 AM with an American, a Continental and a traditional South Indian breakfast. The main menu for the day is available from 11.30 AM and includes a choice of soups, a salad bar, a range of sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs, a hot-meal section and a selection of desserts and beverage.

Bademiya- Mouthwatering Kebabs in Mumbai

7/8/9, 6, Botawala Building,
 Near State Central Library,
 Horniman Circle,
 Fort, Mumbai.

Bademiya645245_1.jpg (645×245)

A visit to Mumbai simply isn't complete without trying the succulent kebabs and grilled chicken from this legendary road-side restaurant. It's some of the best street food you'll ever have.

Pros
  • Open throughout the night.
  • Food is fresh and hygenically prepared.
  • Has a separate section serving vegetarian food.
  • Inexpensive.

Cons

  • Slow service when it's busy.
  • There's often a wait for a table.

Description

  • Located on Tulloch Road (a side street between Colaba Causeway and the Taj Mahal Hotel), in south Mumbai's Colaba area.
  • Open from early evening until the sun comes up.
  • Sidewalk seating for 50 people.
  • Take away service is offered.
  • Food also served on the hood of your car.
  • Alcohol not available.
  • Cash only.
  • Expect to pay 100-200 rupees .
This open air, road-side "restaurant" has been serving up mouthwatering street food since the 1940's. It's now run by the founder's son and has become one of Mumbai's favorite eateries. This is not just because it's one of the few places to stay open all night -- the food here really stands out.
People from all levels of society seek out Bademiya for its delicious barbecue specialties. The seekh and boti kebabs (made out of minced lamb), and grilled chicken tikka are firm favorites. However, there's no need for vegetarians to feel left out as Bademiya has a separate stand serving up yummy vegetarian alternatives as well.
The restaurant, which is really just an elaborate food stall, has a row of tables and chairs seating around 50 people on its side walk. However, many people prefer to have their food served on the hood of their car, in a scene reminiscent of an American diner way back in the rock and roll era.
The pleasing thing about this street restaurant is that it's surprisingly hygienic. You'll find workers wearing rubber gloves and chefs hats, tantalizingly cooking your food over flames right in front of you.
The crowd begins building at Bademiya after midnight, and peaks around 3 a.m. as clubbers start pouring out of nearby Poly Esther's.
So many people can't be wrong. You really must try it for yourself. You won't get a better kebab anywhere else for less than Rs.250.

Famous for conceptualizing unique cuisine brands, ITC hotels initiated the revival of age old recipies of South Indian house wifes by creating an authentic fine dining restaurant. First established in Chennai 'Dakshin' has made its mark in many of ITCs hotels across the country including in Mumbai.            At Dakshin, we strive to create the splendor of southern cooking and revive the disappearing lifestyle of peninsular India. A place unique for its authentic presentations of the finest creations from Andra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and kerala. The use of vessels like Urli and Adukku will kindle your imagination to a bygone era in a setting that epitomizes the rich cultural heights of this part of the country.
